8 Ways to turn your kid’s bad day into a good one!

There are times when your children are not in their best moods.

Here are little things that you can do, to instantly make them feel better –

Laugh! Laugh! Laugh!

It is said that chuckling is the best therapy and can quickly change one’s state of mind. Along these lines, at whatever point your kids are having a terrible day, giggle with them, tell them a joke, tickle them or do whatever works best for your little darling. It will quickly release good hormones and change their mood.

Go out for a walk

Are kids having an awful day? Don’t sweat it, go out for a stroll with your young one, work out, bounce, climb down an obscure trail. Walking discharge endorphins in the mind which light up one’s mood and helps in exhibiting positive emotions such as sharpness, alertness, interest, joy and enthusiasm.

Play with a pet

Animals are good at interpreting our tone of voice, body language and gestures. Snuggling up with a furry friend can elevate levels of serotonin which calm and relaxes, immediately boosting your child’s mood. Stroking, hugging or otherwise touching a loving animal can rapidly soothe your child when she is stressed or anxious.

Things to be grateful for

Gratitude is a thankful appreciation for what an individual receives, whether tangible or intangible. Gloomy days make us forget about the things we already possess. So whenever your child is upset talk to him about all the good things that he already possesses, that many are deprived off.

Cuddle

When we touch – cuddle, hug, or hold hands – our bodies release “feel good” hormones which make us experience feelings of happiness and joy helping us to relax our mind and improve our mood. So, whenever your child is feeling low give him a tight hug and talk about his day. This will help him to deal with his stress better.

Dance

Dancing is the form of unsaid communication which stimulates us physically and emotionally, giving a sense of liberation. Dancing increases energy and definitely makes one feel happier. So, whenever your kids feel low play their favourite songs, sing, yell the lyrics! Move it full scale! Make them forget how terrible the day was!

Dream a little more

Turn your kids dreams into goals. Make a rundown of things your children need to do to achieve their goals. Break them into daily/weekly/ monthly goals. Accomplishing things releases good hormones making one feel confident and increases morale.

Learn to do something new

Encourage your kids to meet the playful part of themselves. Make them try things they always wanted to learn. Draw, paint, learn to play a musical instrument, try a new recipe, pick up a new hobby, anything your children enjoy. Learning or doing new things can build excitement and change the state of mind.
